Fox’s Ed Henry Grills Katrina Pierson On The N-Word Tape: You Just Misquoted Yourself

Fox News Ed Henry grilled Trump campaign staffer Katrina Pierson last night and refused to let her dominate the conversation. Pierson tried to aggressively defend President Donald Trump and seemed to walk back suggestions that she believed there was a tape of the President using the N-Word.

Pierson had spoken to Henry the night before and Omarosa Manigault Newman went on the Daily Show to tell Trevor Noah that Pierson lied about Trump using the N-Word. The tape released by Newman seemed to show that Pierson acknowledged Trump had used it.

“There are two things that occurred last night in our discussion: You had read for me a book excerpt that I have not seen because the book cannot come out yet, and you referenced me having been speaking to the president about this issue. And that is false. We have transcript today of the tapes that Omarosa released that prove that to be true,” Pierson said.

Pierson tried to argue that she was just humoring Manigault Newman on the tape but Henry wasn’t willing to accept Pierson’s argument. The conversation became heated as Pierson tried to push her talking points.

“I’m going to lead this discussion,” Henry said. Pierson continued to deny she confirmed Trump had used the N-Word and muddy the waters, while Henry patiently led the discussion back to the topic.

Pierson misrepresented the recording and claimed she had said people shouldn’t spread rumours. Henry was quick to point this out.

“You’re not sticking to facts,” Henry said. “You just misquoted yourself.”

“Omarosa has been using this tape to manipulate people,” Pierson said. “She is a bully, she is a dog with a bone with this tape.”

Henry objected to Pierson calling Manigault Newman a dog.

“You just used the term dog,” Henry said. “The President called Omarosa a dog.”

“Do you raise your son to call a woman – any woman in this country – a dog?”

Pierson refused to answer the hypothetical question about her son, so Henry asked if it would be appropriate for him to call a woman a dog. Pierson said it would depend on what the woman did.
