Tucker Carlson And Mark Steyn Cackle With Delight As They Slut-Shame Stormy Daniels
It was almost a given that the man who brought us the ‘Men In America’ series during Women’s History Month was going to run to the defense of Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani following the former New York City mayor’s tasteless and piggish remarks about adult film star Stormy Daniels.
Tag-teaming with cat song enthusiast and admirer of white supremacist literature Mark Steyn, Fox News’ Tucker Carlson devoted a segment that was about nothing more than slut-shaming Daniels and presenting her as unworthy of respect. Or, in other words, doubling down on Giuliani’s widely condemned comments while cackling like a couple of frat bros watching The Hangover.
After replaying a short clip of Giuliani’s tamer Stormy remarks, Carlson noted that America’s Mayor was “saying what’s been obvious for every living person for a couple thousand years, someone is more deserving of respect if they don’t have sex with strangers on camera for money.” Adding that liberals are now saying “pornography isn’t degrading” but instead “empowering,” Tucker snidely stated that was in the same universe where “MS-13 has great people” and Haiti is “beautiful.”
Then it was time for both Tucker and Steyn to get to work trying to outdo each other in smug self-satisfaction and smarminess. Carlson set the table for the ‘I Tawt I Taw A Puddy Tat’ artist by playing a clip of media personalities defending Daniels, declaring that “these people are beyond parody” while asking Steyn “what is that about.”
The conservative Canadian author ridiculed The Daily Beast’s Sam Stein for highlighting Daniels’ success and stature in the porn industry, snarking that the libs act like “that’s a really great thing.”
“Porn is rubbish, the plot is rubbish, the dialogue is rubbish,” he stated, seriously.
At that point, Carlson brought up a graphic of some of Daniels’ adult film titles, telling his buddy he may be unfamiliar with her oeuvre.
“Trailer Trash Nurses, are you speaking before you have really looked into what she has done?” Carlson asked while giggling.
“My ObamaCare plan only covers me for trailer trash nurses,” Steyn chortled back.
This then led Steyn to make a comparison with the Miss America contest getting rid of the swimsuit competition.
“There is a confusion here,” he said. “I think it goes back to what you said in the introduction, a lady in a swimsuit parading around as Miss New Hampshire or Miss Idaho, that’s a fairly harmless pleasure, we have to get rid of it.”
Steyn continued, “On the other hand, if you have something that is utterly degrading and is actually objectively worthless, it’s an art form whose only value is what it stimulates in the viewer. It has no intrinsic value in itself and suddenly that’s something to celebrate.”
The segment concluded with the right-wing pundit directly comparing acting in adult films to prostitution because of course that was where he was inevitably going to take the discussion.
