Greg Gutfeld: Trump Contracted Coronavirus Because ‘He Didn’t Want America to Hide’ from It

Fox News host Greg Gutfeld said Friday that President Trump contracted the coronavirus “for us,” and that he “didn’t hide” from it because “he didn’t want America to hide” from it.

Gutfeld made the comments on The Five while the president was being sent to Walter Reed Medical Center after his symptoms worsened. He is expected to work from there for the next few days, the White House said.

“If [Trump] was going to ask America to get back to work, right? To get back to work, and experience a risk, he was going to do the same thing, he was going to walk out there on that battlefield with you, and not sit somewhere in a basement and tell you how you have to get back to work, but not go out himself,” Gutfeld said.

“So he took the risk, he got the virus, but he was doing it for us.”
