Don Jr. Denies He Was High on Cocaine During RNC Speech, Blames Lighting for Glassy Eyes

Donald Trump Jr. addressed rumors on Wednesday that he had taken cocaine before his speech at the Republican National Convention this week. President Donald Trump’s son told Fox News that he wasn’t high on the drug and made a dig at Hunter Biden.

Fox & Friends¬†host Steve Doocy asked about the media’s ‘main concern’ that Trump Jr.’s eyes were ‘so glassy’ during his speech. His eyes led to speculation and jokes online that he’d taken cocaine, though most of these takes were humorous.

“I guess there must have been something with the lighting,” Trump Jr. said. “But they started doing this trending thing. ‘Donald Trump Jr.’s on cocaine!’ and all that.”

“And I said, no, no, no, you have me confused with Hunter Biden,” Trump Jr. said, earning something of an exasperated expression from Doocy.

“It was pretty ridiculous,” Trump Jr. said before going on to criticize Bette Midler and defend his stepmother, First Lady Melania Trump.
