Donald Trump Mocks Schwarzenegger’s Low ‘Apprentice’ Ratings, Two Weeks Before Inauguration
President-elect Donald Trump has mocked Arnold Schwarzenegger for the ‘low’ ratings he’s getting as the new host of The Apprentice. The reality TV show played a major role in launching Trump into the public sphere. Schwarzenegger has taken over from him.
“Wow, the ratings are in and Arnold Schwarzenegger got ‘swamped’ (or destroyed) by comparison to the ratings machine, DJT,” Trump said on Twitter. “So much for being a movie star — and that was season 1 compared to season 14. Now compare him to my season 1. But who cares, he supported Kasich & Hillary.”
Schwarzenegger is a former governor of California and considered a liberal Republican. He did not support Trump’s presidential bid but he has taken Trump’s old job on the reality show that made Trump world famous. Critics have panned the show, though they did the same when Trump was at the helm.
Trump will be sworn in as president on January 20, just two weeks from today, but he is spending a lot of time on Twitter, his favorite social medium. Trump recently tweeted that the intelligence community had cancelled a meeting with him, even though that meeting was never scheduled. He also suggested that the intelligence agencies didn’t know what they were doing.
