Trump Renews Attack on Local Reporter Harassed by Anti-Lockdown Protesters
President Donald Trump has again attacked a local reporter who posted footage to Twitter of anti-lockdown protesters harassing him in the street. Trump has been tweeting about the video since Friday and on Monday appeared to triple down on supporting the protesters.
News 12 Long Island’s Kevin Vesey shared the video of people verbally attacking him for being a member of the press and the President expressed support for those committing harassment on Friday and Saturday, before returning to the topic on Monday.
“This love of Country went all over. They hate Fake News, and so do I!” Trump tweeted, along with the video.

Vesey said in his original tweet that he would continue to write truthful stories despite being attacked as ‘fake news’ and the ‘enemy of the people’ by those in the video, some of whom were clearly supporters of President Trump.
“The level of anger directed at the media from these protestors was alarming. As always, I will tell a fair and unbiased story today,” Vesey said.
“You guys are fucking fake news,” one man said to Vesey, while another added: “You are the virus.”
