Watch: ‘Fox & Friends’ Hosts Debate Trump Postponing the Election
The hosts of Fox & Friends argued on Friday about President Donald Trump postponing the election in November. Brian Kilmeade, Ainsley Earhardt and Steve Doocy wondered live on air if the President would try to delay the election due to Coronavirus.
Earhardt was discussing former Vice President Joe Biden’s suggestion that Trump is considering postponing the election but she responded to the idea with incredulity.
“Most of us have never thought about that,” she said. “Do you think the President would try to push back the election? I can’t imagine that. That’s never happened.”
“Not a chance,” Kilmeade said. “Not a chance.”
Doocy was less certain, suggesting that the election could be delayed if the circumstances were right.
“It just all depends on the circumstances. Remember after 9/11, 9/11 in New York City, it was primary day, and they wound up kicking it to a later date. But, you know, that is one of the reasons why Joe Biden…”
“No way,” Kilmeade interrupted.
“… suggested yesterday that Congress okayed money to allow mail-in ballots but with a Democratic Congress that would probably — Who knows what’s gonna happen?” Doocy said.
