Trump Claims Andrew Cuomo Is Calling Hourly and ‘Begging’ After Governor Tears Into His ‘Total Authority’
President Donald Trump claimed New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is calling him all the time desperate for help. Trump’s tweet is clearly a response to comments Cuomo made Monday night and Tuesday morning where he blasted the President’s claim to ‘total authority’ to reopen states.
“Cuomo’s been calling daily, even hourly, begging for everything, most of which should have been the state’s responsibility, such as new hospitals, beds, ventilators, etc,” Trump wrote.
“I got it all done for him, and everyone else, and now he seems to want Independence! That won’t happen!”

Cuomo made headlines yesterday for slamming Trump’s claim he could override state governors.
“If he thinks he’s going to force this state — or any state, for that matter — to do something that is reckless or irresponsible that could endanger human life, literally,” Cuomo told the Today show on Monday.
“Because if we don’t reopen correctly, you will see those virus numbers go up again and more people will die.”
On Tuesday, Cuomo said Trump was suggesting ‘breaking the Constitution.’
“He basically declared himself King Trump, right? And all that annoying federal state back-and-forth that our Founding Fathers went through, he just disregarded that and said ‘total authority.’ Then, we could’ve had King George Washington.”
