Trump Claims He Never Said People With Coronavirus Should Go to Work the Morning After He Said It

President Donald Trump has denied saying that some people diagnosed with Coronavirus should go to work, despite the fact that he said exactly that to Fox News’ Sean Hannity on Wednesday night. Trump took to Twitter to deny saying what he had publicly said.

“I NEVER said people that are feeling sick should go to work,” Trump tweeted. “This is just more Fake News and disinformation put out by the Democrats, in particular MSDNC. Comcast covers the CoronaVirus situation horribly, only looking to do harm to the incredible & successful effort being made!”

However, Trump spoke to Hannity on his show last night and very clearly said that people with Coronavirus could get better by going to work.

“So if, you know, we have thousands or hundreds of thousands of people that get better, just by, you know, sitting around and even going to work, some of them go to work, but they get better,” Trump said.

Trump has already been accused of spreading disinformation about the disease during that same Hannity appearance. He said that the WHO’s assessment of the virus’ fatality rate could be wrong and based his claim on a ‘hunch’.
