Fox’s Brian Kilmeade Accuses Igor Fruman of ‘Ulterior Motives’ for Recording Trump Demanding Ambassador’s Ouster
While the recently released tape of President Donald Trump demanding that then Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch be removed has been seen as yet more evidence of his guilt in the Ukraine scandal, on Fox News the content of the recording was less important than the fact it was recorded at all.
Speaking in response to comments made by White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham on Monday, Fox & Friends host Brian Kilmeade downplayed the involvement of indicted Rudy Giuliani associates Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman in the Ukraine scandal while also framing them as the real villains.
“It’s kind of interesting too, this whole Igor and Lev, these two guys that Rudy Giuliani brought into the President to provide information, I guess, about Ukraine,” Kilmeade said.
This is not what Parnas and Fruma were doing. According to them an other evidence, they were tasked with digging up dirt on former Vice President Joe Biden.
“They get arrested on unrelated campaign finance issues, really? And then one, decides to tape, Igor, the guy that keeps his mouth shut releases tapes of the conversation with the President?”
“Who the heck would sit there and tape the President unless you had ulterior motives?” Kilmeade asked. “And then this Lev Parnass is calling 1- 800-Anderson Cooper to start saying his version of what happened. It’s amazing the forces that seem to be working against the President.”
