‘Fox & Friends’ Really Wants Hillary Clinton to Run for President: ‘Go Ahead, Get In!’
The hosts of Fox & Friends apparently want Hillary Clinton to run for president again. On Wednesday, the Fox News show ran yet another segment on the possibility of the 2016 Democratic candidate entering the race. This time, they focused on a radio interview where Clinton said she had faced pressure to get involved.
“Well, you know, I never say never to anything. I will certainly tell you I’m under enormous pressure from many, many many people to think about it. But as of this moment that is absolutely not in my plans,” Clinton said on British radio.
“That’s not in her plans,” Fox’s Steve Doocy said.
After some back and forth among the hosts, the discussion moved to poll numbers and the fact that South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg is now leading in Iowa. The Fox hosts claimed that changing poll numbers were another reason Clinton should enter the field.
The Fox hosts cited Buttigieg’s vulnerability as the current front runner in Iowa and segued back to Clinton.
“This is why Hillary needs to get in,” co-host Ainsley Earhardt said.
“That would be so great,” Doocy said. “I hope she’s watching. Yeah, go ahead and get in.”
Fox News spent hours and hours covering Clinton’s bid for the presidency and aiding in Republican attacks. Another Clinton candidacy would provide the network with even more programming, as it struggles to attack the current crop of Democratic candidates with the same vigor.
