Fox’s Judge Nap: Don Jr. Will Wind Up in Handcuffs If He Listens to Lindsey Graham and Ignores Subpoena
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) has been all over the place advising Donald Trump Jr. to ignore the subpoena he received from the Senate Intelligence Committee, and Judge Andrew Napolitano is not having it.
To be fair, Napolitano is being somewhat delicate about the issue. On Coast to Coast Tuesday afternoon, he rebuked Graham without resorting to harsh language or outright rudeness. But the message was unmistakable.
Prompted by Neil Cavuto, Napolitano allowed that “I am very fond of Senator Graham,” whom he has known since the Bill Clinton impeachment hearings 20 years ago.
But, he continued, “I never heard of a senator saying [to] disobey a lawful, valid subpoena issued by the chairman of another Senate committee.”
It is especially weird, as a CNN panel noted on Monday, when the senators come from the same party. Especially a party that is in ideological lockstep like the GOP.
Napolitano added that Don Jr. can challenge the subpoena in court if he does not want to comply with it. But “you can’t just sit on it and you can’t not show. Somebody will show up with handcuffs.”
“No matter who you are,” Cavuto added.
“No matter who your father is,” Napolitano clarified.
