Really, Bibi? Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu Essentially Gives Hitler A Pass On The Holocaust
You know, you really, really, REALLY must hate Muslims if you are a Jew and decide to tell a bunch of other Jews that Adolf Hitler really wasn’t that much at fault for the systematic killing of six million of your ancestors. During a speech in front of the World Zionist Congress in Jerusalem on Tuesday, Isreali Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told the gathered crowd that Hitler only wanted to move the Jews out of Europe at first. However, after a meeting with a Jew-hating Palestinian, Haj Amin al-Husseini, in 1941. Per Bibi, al-Husseini was the one who convinced Hitler to kill them all.

Netanyahu posited that the Nazi fuehrer did not initially intend to annihilate the Jews, but rather sought to expel them from Europe. According to the prime minister’s version of the events, Hitler changed his mind after meeting with Husseini — who was grand mufti of Jerusalem from 1921 to 1948, and president of the Supreme Muslim Council from 1922 to 1937 — in Berlin near the end of 1941.
“Hitler didn’t want to exterminate the Jews at the time [of the meeting between the mufti and the Nazi leader]. He wanted to expel the Jews,” Netanyahu said. “And Haj Amin al-Husseini went to Hitler and said, ‘If you expel them, they’ll all come here [to mandatory Palestine],’” continued the prime minister.
“‘So what should I do with them?’ He [Hitler] asked,” according to Netanyahu. “He [Husseini] said, ‘Burn them.’”
As one would guess, there was immediate reaction to Netanyahu’s claim. First off, historians pointed out that the PM is basically talking out of his ass, all in an effort to paint Palestinians in an even more negative light among Israelis. As noted in the Times piece, the majority of Holocaust scholars soundly reject the theory that al-Husseini planted the seed of widespread murder of Jews in Hitler’s head. Evidence shows that the Nazis Final Solution had been put in place months before the Palestinian’s visit to Hitler, and the Nazi leader had discussed the slaughter of Jews years earlier.
However, perhaps most damning to Netanyahu’s version of history and attempt to somewhat rehabilitate Hitler’s image in an attempt to further sully Palestine is the fact that Germany itself pointed out that they are fully responsible for the Holocaust. After his unfortunate remarks, the German government gave a statement saying no one but the Nazis could be blamed for the Holocaust.
“All Germans know the history of the murderous race mania of the Nazis that led to the break with civilization that was the Holocaust,” Chancellor Angela Merkel’s spokesman Steffen Seibert said when asked about Benjamin Netanyahu’s remarks.
“This is taught in German schools for good reason, it must never be forgotten. And I see no reason to change our view of history in any way. We know that responsibility for this crime against humanity is German and very much our own.”
Seriously, though, how bad is your hatred for another group that you have to greatly exaggerate their involvement in the absolute worst tragedy to happen to your people? Worse, you go out of your way to make Hitler seem like not such a bad guy. Jebus Crikes!
