MSNBC Hosts Dumbstruck By Kanye’s Insane White House Meeting: ‘That Was Bonkers!’
The moment finally arrived, and even if you were prepared for Kanye West to do something crazy during his meeting with President Donald Trump, West somehow exceeded all expectations. And MSNBC hosts Ali Velshi and Stephanie Ruhle were left completely dumbstruck by Ye’s remarks.
Ahead of a White House lunch with West and football legend Jim Brown, the president welcomed the rap superstar into the Oval Office along with a pool of reporters. The press was then treated to an absolutely incoherent West rant that included the ‘Jesus Walks’ artist saying “time is a myth,” that the 13th Amendment is a “trap door,” he may have dementia because of sleep deprivation, and that he and Trump should partner on “Yeezy ideation centers.”
“Trump is on his hero’s journey right now. He might not have thought he’d have a crazy mother-fucker like (me),” West noted.
To be honest, no write-up could really do justice to how absolutely nuts the moment was, and Velshi and Ruhle pointed that out to their audience immediately after MSNBC finished airing the madness.
“Wooooow,” Velshi exhaled, jaw agape. He then began waving his hands around.
“Okay. I’m doing this for everybody who is watching us who turned their volume down. You can put it back up again. That was bonkers!”
Ruhle jumped in, “If you think you’re going to get a thoughtful play by play and political analysis, you’re not. That was an assault on our White House.”
Velshi added that “you can’t analyze some of that stuff that was said” before the two of them attempted to recap some of the highlights lowlights from the meeting.
“That was crazy,” he noted.
