In First Broadcast Since Paris Attack, ‘Morning Joe’ Invites Only Republicans On To Talk About It

Going into Monday morning, regular viewers of MSNBC’s Morning Joe probably knew it would be a clusterfuck consisting of Hillary Clinton bashing, Islamophobia and blaming President Obama for the horrific tragedy that occurred in Paris on Friday evening. And hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski made sure not to disappoint as they delivered three hours of exactly that. Beyond being bombarded by Joe’s constant rants about how weak and ineffective Obama is when it comes to dealing with radical Islamic terrorists — conservatives’ three favorite words, apparently — we were presented with only the GOP point of view, as the only elected officials (or those seeking currently seeking office) brought on to discuss the attack were Republican.

Yep, even though our President is a Democrat, and there are actually many Democratic members of the House and Senate, Joe and Mika decided that the only people whose opinions mattered were GOPers who are desperately beating the drums of war. Therefore, anyone who sat through the program Monday morning heard nothing but conservative whining about how stupid Obummer is, how Democratic Presidential frontrunner Hillary Clinton won’t even say “radical Islam” and that we as a country need to close our borders to those seeking refuge from terrorism. It was nothing more than a right-wing propaganda broadcast, worse even than rival show Fox & Friends.

Some of the lowlights included the following:

Current GOP Presidential frontrunner and giant Oompa Loompa Donald Trump reiterated a previous stance of his regarding mosques, saying that the United States should look at forcibly closing some of them down. He also tripled down on his comments about gun control and how more French citizens with guns would have made the terror attack less deadly.

Sen. James Lankford (R-OK) showed up to say that Obama’s administration should expand surveillance of citizens and incorporate large private companies into intelligence gathering.

Jeb Bush, brother of the guy who involved us in two wars in the Middle East that completely destabilized the region, continued his media rounds that began Sunday. He didn’t really say anything different than his Sunday show appearances, claiming that this is “the war of our time” and pointing out that Obama isn’t leading us right now.

Life partners John McCain and Lindsey Graham also showed up to say how much of a pussy Obama is and how we need to be completely involved in a full-scale war in the Middle East.

Rep. Michael McCaul (R-TX), Chairman of the Homeland Security Committee and frequent Sunday show guest, seemingly blamed an attack on French soil for a failure in American surveillance and intelligence gathering.

Look, it is understandable to have at least half and even a majority of your guests on to be Republican politicians. The GOP controls both chambers of Congress and there are currently 5,976 Republican candidates for President. But to completely shut out ANY Democratic voices on a show that pretends to be about presenting all sides of the debate? Let’s just say the next time Joe goes off on one of his sanctimonious tirades about liberal media bias, he should be forced to watch this broadcast on a loop.
