Omarosa On Trump: ‘I Believe He Wants To Start A Race War In This Country’
Continuing her media blitz to promote her upcoming Trump tell-all Unhinged, former White House aide Omarosa Manigault Newman sat down with MSNBC host and civil rights activist Rev. Al Sharpton on Sunday to discuss some of the eye-popping claims she’s made in her book. And at one point, she tossed out another buzzy quote that is sure to make a few headlines.
Sharpton noted that going back as far as Richard Nixon, he couldn’t remember a presidential administration that didn’t have at least one black person in a senior administrative position until now. He went on to state that President Trump is only on to have a “lily white inner circle” and that his White House has excluded African-Americans.
“You’re correct and it’s worse than people realize,” Omarosa responded. “There are 30 assistants to the president, none representing the African-American community.”
She explained that since she was fired the White House hasn’t made any attempt to place anyone in a position to do African-American outreach, stating that Trump has “contradicted the commitment he made of ‘what do you have to loWe.'”
“We have a lot to lose and we’re losing now because Donald Trump is disingenuous about his engagement and outreach,” Omarosa added. “And I believe he wants to start a race war in this country.”
“Wow,” Sharpton reacted.
The reality TV star would go on to bring up Trump calling her a “dog” before claiming that “Trump is not equipped to serve in the role he is in — I would say he’s unfit to serve as the President of the United States.”
