Amy Klobuchar Goes Full Jeb Bush, Has ‘Please Clap’ Moment During CNN Town Hall

Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) does a pretty good Jeb Bush impression.

The Democratic hopeful had her own version of Bush’s “please clap” moment from the 2016 campaign during a CNN town hall on Monday evening.

Klobuchar was answering a question from a college student who asked her, “Donald Trump won the 2016  election in large part because he appealed to a discontented middle class in the American heartland.  How do you plan on winning back both their trust  and their vote?”

The senator responded with a rambling answer about having won election in a purple state with a bunch of Republicans in high-level positions. “Every single time I have run, I have won every single congressional district,” she said. “Including Michele Bachmann’s.”

When the audience didn’t respond, she added, “That’s when you guys are supposed to cheer, okay?”

The audience laughed and cheered.

She then went on to brag about making fun of Donald Trump’s hair.
