Rep. Rashida Tlaib Stands By ‘We’re Going To Impeach The Motherf*cker’ Remarks: ‘#UnapologeticallyMe’
At a Washington D.C. reception after she was sworn in as the first Palestinian-American congresswoman in history, Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) did not mince words as she profanely announced what her intentions towards President Donald Trump would be moving forward.
Noting that her son had told her that “bullies don’t win” after she was victorious in her race, Tlaib added the following: “’Baby, they don’t.’ Because we’re gonna go in there, we’re gonna impeach the motherfucker!”

As you would imagine, those comments quickly went viral and resulted in widespread outrage, especially among conservatives and Republicans. We can only guess that the comments will fuel a whole week’s worth of Fox News programming about liberals’ lack of civility and impeachment fever by Democrats.
With her comments the center of media attention Friday morning and the president reacting on Twitter by asking how can anyone “impeach a president who has won perhaps the greatest election of all time,” Tlaib defended her explicit remarks by stating she will “always speak truth to power.”
I will always speak truth to power. #unapologeticallyMe

She added that this isn’t “just about Donald Trump” but that it is “about all of us,” further noting that in “the face of this constitutional crisis, we must rise.”
This is not just about Donald Trump. This is about all of us. In the face of this constitutional crisis, we must rise.

Meanwhile, expect her comments to continue to be the centerpiece of right-wing outrage throughout the weekend.
