“Honestly, she’s disgusting. I think she hurt herself very badly. I think she hurt that whole cause,’ President Trump said of the singer’s unhinged outburst,” Trump said. “I thought her and a couple of others. But I thought she was in particular, I thought what she said was disgraceful to our country.”
Trump also attacked Saturday Night Live. The late night sketch show has mocked the president relentlessly. Alec Baldwin has played Trump before and after the election. “I don’t mind some humor but it’s terrible. For them to attack, for NBC to attack my 10-year-old son…it’s a disgrace. He’s a great boy. And it’s not an easy thing for him. Believe me.”
Trump also discussed former President Barack Obama. Obama said he wanted Trump to succeed and the new president suggested that Obama likes him.
“What amazed me is that I was vicious to him in statements, he was vicious to me in statements, and here we are getting along, we’re riding up Pennsylvania Avenue talk, we don’t even mention it. I guess that’s the world of politics. But I was tough on him, he was tough on me and I like him, he likes me. I think he likes me. I mean, you’re going to have to ask him but I think he likes me.”
