Donald Trump Jr. Casually Makes Holocaust Joke While Discussing Media And Hillary

Donald Trump’s kids have had a tough time of it lately campaigning for their pop. Ivanka Trump walked out of an interview with Cosmo because she didn’t like the tone of the questions. Eric Trump recently tweeted out the wrong photo of a rally. And Donald Trump Jr. claimed his dad couldn’t release his tax returns because they would be a distraction due to the content.

Following up his tax return gaffe, Junior appeared on a Philadelphia radio show Thursday morning to talk about his father’s campaign. At one point, while trying to hammer Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, the Trump scion casually tossed out a Holocaust joke. Because that’s how the Trumps roll.

“The media has been her number one surrogate in this. Without the media, this wouldn’t even be a contest, but the media has built her up. They’ve let her slide on every indiscrepancy, on every lie, on every DNC game trying to get Bernie Sanders out of this thing. If Republicans were doing that, they’d be warming up the gas chamber right now.”

Now, it should be noted that a few days ago, following Clinton’s “basket of deplorables” comment, Trump Jr. shared a meme that contained Pepe the Frog, a well-known symbol of white supremacists and the Alt-Right.

Now, perhaps Trump Jr. didn’t mean to make a Holocaust reference. Maybe he was just trying to claim that Clinton gets away with stuff that others, especially conservatives, can’t. Maybe.

But, should we continue to give the Trumps the benefit of the doubt with these kinds of things?
