Donald Trump Keeps Saying That Obama And Hillary Are ‘Founders of ISIS’
After a week of increasingly deranged and incendiary comments, which brought a little visit from the Secret Service after his 2nd amendment remark—Trump has regrouped and fallen back on throwing stones at his favorite targets; President Obama and Hillary Clinton.
To the absolute glee of his minions of lemming followers at a rally in Florida on Wednesday, Trump called Obama the “founder of ISIS”, which he repeated numerous times to make sure dullards in the audience absorbed his meaning then he added, “crooked Hillary was the co-founder”, and that brought the usual hoots and hollers that Trump craves.
While GOP leaders sweat and wring their hands after desperate attempts to reign in the rogue nominee of their own arrogant creation have continued to fail, Trump repeated the same asinine statement in an interview with CNBC’s Squawk Box Thursday morning, adding that Obama was Most Valuable Player for ISIS.
“Our government isn’t giving us good protection. Our government has unleashed ISIS,” he said as he addressed the National Association of Home Builders in Miami. “I call President Obama and Hillary Clinton the founders of ISIS. They’re the founders. In fact, I think we’ll give Hillary Clinton the — you know, if you’re on a sports team, most valuable player, MVP, you get the MVP award — ISIS will hand her the most valuable player award. Her only competition is Barack Obama.”
Trump’s lunacy continued with his sports analogy and criticism that Obama annoys the American people by using “ISIL”, which is the accurate acronym for the Islamic State terrorist group.
“He gets the most valuable player award. Him and Hillary, she gets it too. I gave her co-founder if you really looked at this speech,” Trump said. “But he and Hillary get the most valuable player award having to do with Iraq, and having to do with the ISIS situation, or as he would call it, ISIL. He calls it ISIL because nobody else does and he probably wants to bother people by using another term, whether it’s more accurate or not.”
Trump’s contortions in logic was born from his claim that Clinton’s vote for the Iraq war as a senator and her policies while secretary of state made her, “responsible for ISIS.” More contortions of logic brought the accusation that Obama helped create the “foundation” of ISIS.
“Hillary Clinton invented ISIS with her stupid policies,” Trump said in an interview with CBS that aired July 17. “She is responsible for ISIS.” It was a statement that wasn’t anymore factual back then, according to Politifact.
The factually-challenged GOP nominee conveniently overlooked the fact that George W. Bush declared war on Iraq in 2003, under the advice of Dick Cheney and Don Rumsfeld, which eventually caused the resulting fragmentation of al-Qaeda in Iraq. In 2013, there was a split from al-Qaeda to become the Islamic State, more commonly known as ISIS.
Trump also used the Florida occasion on Wednesday to whine about how poorly the media treats him, to which his hate-filled and ignorant audience started chanting, “lock them up”, meaning the media:
The size of Trump’s growing mountain of hogwash and red meat accusations is only surpassed by the size of his enormous ego, but certainly not the size of his hands.
