‘Morning Joe’ Is No Longer A News Talk Show — It’s A Super PAC For Donald Trump

Once news hit Tuesday evening that Republican Presidential frontrunner and syphilitic orangutan Donald Trump had dropped out of Thursday’s GOP debate on Fox News, it was a given that MSNBC’s Morning Joe would devote most of its three-hour broadcast to The Donald. Since the celebrity billionaire announced he was running for the White House last June, the morning talk show has given him and his campaign tons of coverage, along with lengthy call-in interviews and even lengthier sit-downs. More than just about any program on cable news, Morning Joe has pushed all-in for Trump.

Therefore, it shouldn’t come as a shock that Wednesday morning turned into yet another Trump lovefest. However, it was the brashness with which host Joe Scarborough revealed his unending admiration for the real estate mogul on this particular broadcast that finally stripped away the fake veneer of objectivity and showed once and for all that the show is nothing more than a advertising Super PAC for Trump.

Right away, Wednesday’s show started with a discussion of Trump’s decision, with Scarborough claiming he’d rather set himself on fire than do a debate on Fox News (while simultaneously pointing out how much he loved Fox). This then segued into an interview with the candidate’s campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski. We were then presented with 10 minutes of the angry little man ranting about Fox News host Megyn Kelly being a total bitch while Joe and meek little Mika Brzezinski lobbed softball after softball.

Joe and friends then went into a panel discussion about the whole debate kerfuffle. Because Scarborough hates Megyn Kelly — she mocked him during a Fox interview a while ago — and loves Donald Trump, he used the conversation to criticize another network for not capitulating to the demands of a politician. Now, of course, if the shoe was on the other foot, and Scarborough or another host was tapped to moderate a debate, and a frontrunning candidate threatened to walk unless that person was replaced, we would never hear the end of it from Joe. But, in this case, Joe has to make sure to have Donny Boy’s back.

Later on in the show, we got more and more Trump adoration, including JoeScar pointing out how brilliant and amazing and great the former reality TV star was in getting media attention. Remarkably, Scarborough stated that Morning Joe is mostly there just to set the record straight when the rest of the press calls Trump out for his offensive comments and actions. In Joe’s mind, Trump is making tremendous strategic moves when he calls Mexicans rapists and calls for banning Muslims. (We also got political hack Mark Halperin doing some Trump smooching.)

Yet another video from MSNBC:

There were other instances of Joe sucking off Trump in Wednesday’s broadcast, but I think you get the point. MSNBC and Joe Scarborough decided a while ago to hitch their wagon to Trump in an effort to improve the network’s ratings, and by doing so, effectively became part of Trump’s campaign operations. Whenever Trump wants to get some free airtime, he just picks up his flip-phone and dials up Joe and Co. Even if he doesn’t call them up, he knows they’ll give him positive coverage every day, no matter what.
