Carly Fiorina, a person who can’t get through a debate without tossing out a huge whopper of a lie, told Fox News’ Chris Wallace on Sunday that likely Democratic Presidential nominee Hillary Clinton has built her whole campaign on lies. The fired Hewlett-Packard CEO and failed Senate candidate, who for some reason believes she can be elected President of the United States, claimed that she would beat Clinton in a general election because she’d call her out on her falsehoods.
Now, mind you, Fiorina has been ridiculed throughout this entire campaign over her pathological lying. In her first main-stage debate, she insisted that she saw video of Planned Parenthood harvesting a brain from a still-breathing fetus. Despite no such video existing, Fiorina continued to double-down on her claims. During the most recent GOP debate, the Republican hopeful stated that five generals resigned or were fired for not agreeing with President Obama. However, only two of the men she named could rightly make that claim, with one general actually retiring six years prior to Obama taking office.
While Wallace did call out Fiorina on her generals fib, he let her unironically rail on Clinton for her supposed issues with truth-telling. First, she claimed that Hillary is scared to face her and would rather go up against Donald Trump.
“She can beat Donald Trump…and she doesn’t want to run against me because I can beat her because I will fight her, force her to fight on ground that she will lose on.”
OK, Carly. You lost to Barbara Boxer by double-digits but you’ll smackdown one of the toughest and most gifted politicians of this generation. Got it.
She then stated that the “Clinton way” is to “lies as long as you can get away with it.” Once again, this was all done with a straight face. I can only imagine what was going on inside Wallace’s head as he witnessed this Freudian trainwreck.
