Chris Christie Tells Fox News That Obama Is Now Responsible For Every Death Iran Causes

News broke early on Wednesday that Senator Barbara Mikulski (D-MD) had thrown her support behind the White House’s nuclear deal with Iran. Mikulski’s promise to vote gives President Obama at least 34 Senators supporting the deal, meaning that the Senate will not be able to override a veto if the chamber rejects the deal (which it will). This means that the historical agreement reached between longtime adversary Iran and a number of powerful countries will be implemented, regardless of Republican concerns about the deal.

This news presented an opportunity for Republicans, especially those running for the highest office in the land, to take potshots at the White House and toss out extremely inflammatory rhetoric. Considering the number of loud voices in the GOP trying to gain attention, the more ridiculous and apocalyptic the comments, the better for the candidate. Enter one Chris Christie.

Over the past couple of days, the New Jersey Governor and bottom-of-the-barrel-scraping Republican Presidential hopeful has been making something of a media blitz to try to breathe life into his moribund campaign. This has included numerous appearances on cable news and right-wing radio shows. On Wednesday, the extremely unpopular guv showed up as the #OneLuckyGuy on Fox News’ Outnumbered in an effort to reverse the downward trajectory of his sinking poll numbers. And what better way to do that than to rip the Kenyan Muslims usurper.

In a discussion revolving around Mikulski’s endorsement of the Iran deal, Christie first took aim at the Dems who have stood by the White House on the landmark agreement, claiming that they’ll have to answer for their decision.

“Everything that Iran does to foment terrorism in the world, to attack Israel, to attack America is their responsibility as well. I hope they are ready to live it. I hope they are ready to live it with the conduct of people who are the largest state sponsors of terror in the world.”

After one of the hosts asked Christie his thoughts on why Obama would push the deal if many Americans don’t support it and most of Congress opposes it, the highway bridge closing GOPer said it’s because Obama “thinks he’s the smartest guy in the room.” He then said the President thinks his legacy is at stake as he nears the end of his second term. Christie them following it up by saying the following:

“He believes this is his legacy. And guess what? I do too. The American people will look back and say this is the worst thing this president has ever done. And every death that Iran causes is now on Barack Obama’s head.”

This is what happens when you’re polling at 2%, there are 16 other candidates in your party’s primary race, and your self-made reputation as the tough-talking bully has been superseded by one Donald Trump. You start making fire and brimstone comments about how the current leader of the free world is going to bring death and destruction to this country by engaging in peaceful diplomacy. And to think, we still have five months until any votes are cast in this primary and more than a year until the general election.
