In the 24 hours since the unbelievably tragic and grisly murder of a reporter and cameraman on live television, right-wing figures have predictably criticized and ridiculed President Obama, especially since the gunman was a gay black male. The reactions have ranged from conservatives whining about POTUS bringing up gun control to Dinesh S’Souza Twitter-trolling Obama and #BlackLivesMatter to Trayvon Martin killer George Zimmerman calling the President an “ignorant baboon”. However, leave it to Fox News to actually point a finger at Obama and directly blame him for horrifying shooting.
During an appearance on Fox & Friends Thursday morning, so-called psychiatrist and Michelle Obama weight expert Keith Ablow discussed the murders of WBDJ’s Alison Parker and Adam Ward and what could have been done to possibly prevent the tragedy. The hosts and Ablow spoke about the issues the murderer had at work prior to his dismissal from the news station in 2013. In Ablow’s decision, more could have been done to get him possibly committed for mental health observation in the past so this could not have festered in the years after he was let go.
Of course, when gun control was brought up, Ablow was a good conservative NRA puppet and said it absolutely wouldn’t do anything to stop instances of violence like this. (At the same time, Parker’s father was on CNN telling Chris Cuomo that he wanted to be the “John Walsh of gun control” and politicians are “in the pocket of the NRA.”) Instead, he said that we just need to continue to use the criminal and civil courts to our advantage against people we think might be mentally unstable.
Finally, we got to the real purpose of the whole segment, which was to bash the Muslim Socialist Usurper. At the end of his segment, after spewing off his half-baked solutions for stopping mass shootings, Ablow then said shootings would end if Obama would stop tweeting about gun control and sowing racial discord. Because, as we all know, Obummer is making the blacks crazy about killing whitey!
“It would be helpful if President Obama would stop tweeting — or whatever he does — about gun control and get serious about attacking mental health care and stop enflaming racial discord. Because there’s people out there who are unhinged who think he’s right when he’s just trying to fan the flames of racial disharmony!”
I’ll just let that stand on its own. Don’t think there is anything I need to add to that.
