Kellyanne Conway Will Leave the White House – Husband George Will Exit the Lincoln Project

Kellyanne Conway has announced she will be leaving the White House at the end of the month. The Counselor to the President said she wants to focus on her family. Her husband, conservative lawyer George Conway, will leave the anti-Trump Lincoln Project.

“I will be transitioning from the White House at the end of this month,” Conway said in a statement.

“Our four children are teens and tweens starting a new academic year, in middle school and high school, remotely from home for at least a few months.”

“This is completely my choice and my voice. In time, I will announce future plans. For now, and for my beloved children, it will be less drama, more mama,” Conway said.

Conway’s husband posted on Twitter that he would exit the Lincoln Project for the same family reasons. He’s been a harsh critic of the President, but any suggestion that the political differences between the two have strained their marriage has been met with harsh criticism from Conway.

So I’m withdrawing from Project Lincoln to devote more time to family matters,” Conway wrote. “And I’ll be taking a Twitter hiatus. Needless to say, I continue to support the Lincoln Project and its mission. Passionately.”

Kellyanne Conway made a reputation as one of President Donald Trump’s most vociferous and brazen defenders, using her TV appearances to support the President’s often criticized and inaccurate statements on a variety of topics.
