Trump’s National Security Advisor Tests Positive for Coronavirus

National Security Advisor Robert O’Brien has tested positive for Coronavirus. He’s the latest person in the Trump administration to be diagnosed with the disease and the most senior figure yet to contract the virus that’s still ravaging parts of the country.

The White House issued official confirmation of the diagnosis in a press release on Monday.

“National Security Adviser Robert O’Brien tested positive for COVID-19,” the statement said.

“He has mild symptoms and has been self-isolating and working from a secure location off-site. There is no risk of exposure to the president or the vice president. The work of the National Security Council continues uninterrupted.”

A number of people close to President Donald Trump have tested positive for the disease over the course of the pandemic, including Kimberley Guilfoyle, who is Donald Trump Jr.’s girlfriend as well as playing a role in the President’s reelection campaign.

One of the President’s valets and several Secret Service agents have also tested positive for the disease, along with Katie Miller – an employee of Vice President Mike Pence and wife of Trump adviser Stephen Miller.
