Trump’s Former Doctor Ronny Jackson: ‘I Don’t Wear a Mask All That Often’

President Donald Trump’s former personal physician Dr. Ronny Jackson has said wearing a face mask is a personal choice and that he doesn’t wear one very often. Jackson spoke to Fox & Friends on Wednesday following his victory in a Texas congressional primary.

“I think that wearing a mask is a personal choice, and I don’t particularly want my government telling me that I have to wear a mask. And so I think that’s a choice that I can make,” Jackson said.

“I think you have to look at your personal circumstances and look at your surroundings and decide if that’s right for you. I’m a firm believer that that is a personal choice,” he said.

“I encourage people, if they want to wear a mask, wear a mask, but I don’t wear a mask all that often to be honest with you.”

Co-host Brian Kilmeade said “there would be a lot less confusion” if medical professionals agreed on the mask issue. However, most medical experts have been clear that wearing masks is a useful way to combat the spread of Coronavirus, while President Trump and many of his allies have argued against it on political terms.

Jackson famously claimed that the President was in excellent physical and mental condition – something that was widely derided at the time.
