John Bolton Claims Trump ‘Misconduct with Other Countries’ in New Book

Former National Security Advisor John Bolton’s new book will claim that President Donald Trump behaved toward other countries in a similar way to Ukraine, according to a new report from Axios. Though no details have yet emerged, Bolton’s publishers are suggesting the accusations will be explosive.

The Room Where It Happened will be published on 23 June, despite White House attempts to delay its release. The book will talk about “Trump misconduct with other countries.”

In an epilogue released to the press, Bolton outlines some of Trump’s questionable behavior toward him and lays down a challenge.

“As if impeachment were not enough, I also found myself confronting the daunting challenge of fighting an incumbent President determined to prevent publication of a book about my White House experiences,” he has written.

“Trump behaved typically, directing the seizure and withholding of my advisors’ personal and other unclassified documents, despite numerous requests for their return; obstructing my Twitter account; and making outright threats of censorship.”

“His reaction thus ranged from the mean-spirited to the constitutionally impermissible.”

“My reaction … my response? Game on.”
