Fox’s Brian Kilmeade Uses His Birthday to Mock Social Distancing Measures

Fox News’ Brian Kilmeade turned 56-years-old on Thursday and his Fox & Friends co-hosts naturally congratulated him on air. However, Kilmeade used the opportunity to mock social distancing measures put in place to tackle Coronavirus. His show has repeatedly undermined such measures in recent days.

“We are so glad you were born,” said co-host Ainsley Earhardt. “Any special plans today, Brian?”

“Yes. I have special plans to shelter in place with my family like yesterday and the last 30 days,” Kilmeade quipped.

“We promised to go out to eat in August when Governor Cuomo let’s restaurants open again. I think we’re allowed to walk by a beach. That might be good. We just can’t stop. We can just walk through a beach.”

“I could probably go to a food store. We might go to the supermarket and walk the right way down the aisle and see if we can find any meat together. It’ll be like a scavenger hunt. It’ll be very interesting.”

“It’s a very unique birthday presenting a lot of opportunities. Then we might go to the pharmacy and wait on line and see if any prescriptions came in. Those are the only two things we’re allowed to do.”

Fox & Friends ratcheted up its rhetoric on Coronavirus restrictions this week in line with conservative opposition to the measures. Kilmeade has been somewhat vocal on the subject.
