Newt Gingrich: Biden’s Team Is ‘Panic-Stricken’ Because Giuliani Can ‘Talk as a Lawyer’

Fox & Friends leaned hard into the Joe Biden/Ukraine conspiracy theory on Monday, hosting several guests who repeated debunked claims that the former Vice President and his son acted corruptly and should be investigated. Former Republican Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich was happy to spin the same story for them.

Gingrich was asked about Biden’s team telling networks not to host Rudy Giuliani since he continues to spread unfounded allegations against the Bidens. Gingrich not only defended Giuliani but repeated the accusations.

“I think they’re probably panic-stricken because Rudy Giuliani can talk as a lawyer about what happened with Hunter Biden getting $600,000 a year from a Ukrainian natural gas company when his only credential is being the Vice President’s son and them the Vice President himself being on video tape saying that he basically blackmailed the Ukrainian government with a billion dollars in U.S. aid which he was going to take away if they didn’t fire the prosecutor looking at his son’s company,” Gingrich said.

Gingrich was repeating unfounded allegations about Joe and Hunter Biden’s dealings with Ukraine. There is no evidence of wrongdoing on their part despite President Trump’s allies repeatedly claiming there was.

“So, I think they are — every time they see Giuliani on TV, they know that he’s not only helping Trump but doing, I think, substantial damage to Joe Biden’s candidacy and I suspect they’re just desperate,” Gingrich said.

“I mean, it’s actually pretty weird for a presidential campaign to think that they can dictate to the networks who they are allowed to have on.”

Gingrich went on to say that impeachment would not be a problem for the President, despite his latest outbursts on Twitter.

“Well, look, I don’t think he’s particularly concerned about actually being impeached and convicted. I don’t think that’s gonna happen. But what you are watching is a legislative coup d’état. This is not impeachment. We ought to quit talking about it as though it’s an impeachment.”
