George Conway Calls Trump A ‘Terrible Malignant Tumor’ As He Pushes Joe Walsh’s Challenge

One of President Donald Trump’s harshest critics has attacked him yet again on Twitter. Conservative lawyer George Conway has come out hard in support of former Congressman Joe Walsh. Walsh has declared he will challenge Trump for the 2020 Republican nomination.

Watching @realDonaldTrump as @POTUS is like seeing a friend—our country—with a terrible malignant tumor, and then realizing that you were cavalier about smoking something that caused the disease,” Conway said.

“You want to obliterate the tumor and stamp out its cause.”

Conway has been working overtime to promote Walsh’s candidacy, frequently retweeting the conservative radio host and defending him against criticism. Conway has praised Walsh for being contrite about his past mistakes while arguing that a ‘rearguard action’ is key to beating Trump.

Walsh’s primary challenge is the first serious attempt to wrest the Republican nomination from Trump. However, several prominent Republicans or former Republicans have devoted themselves to criticizing the President, Conway chief among them.

Conway and Walsh will continue to push for a Republican attack on Trump, whom Conway believes is mentally unfit for office. Some other anti-Trump Republicans have expressed interest in Walsh’s primary challenge but no other contenders have yet emerged.
