Trump Loses His Shit Because Fox News Gave an Hour of Airtime to Bernie Sanders

President Trump is throwing a Twitter tantrum right now over Monday’s Fox News town hall event with Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders.

Earlier in the day, the president complained that it was “weird to watch Crazy Bernie” on Fox News, criticized Fox News anchor Bret Baier for being “so smiley and nice, and referred to the network as “we” while whining that they hired former DNC chair Donna Brazile.

While likely binge-watching Fox News primetime, as he tends to do, the president then fired off three tweets within minutes, all of them directed at the independent Vermont senator.

“Many Trump Fans & Signs were outside of the @FoxNews Studio last night in the now thriving (Thank you President Trump) Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, for the interview with Crazy Bernie Sanders,” he tweeted. “Big complaints about not being let in-stuffed with Bernie supporters. What’s with @FoxNews?”

After claiming, without evidence, that his fans couldn’t get inside the Bernie town hall, Trump then brought up Sanders’ income and the amount of taxes he paid. (An issue that Sanders was confornted on at the town hall and has been discussed ad nauseum on Fox since.)

“Bernie Sanders and wife should pay the Pre-Trump Taxes on their almost $600,000 in income,” Trump wrote. “He is always complaining about these big TAX CUTS, except when it benefits him. They made a fortune off of Trump, but so did everyone else – and that’s a good thing, not a bad thing!”

Interesting that we know how much Sanders has made these past few years and the amount of taxes he’s paid, isn’t it?

He ended his mini-tweetstorm with a weirdly-toned post about Sanders and Joe Biden.

Seriously, “May God Rest Their Soul”???

Sanders’ town hall, meanwhile, was the most-watched single-candidate forum during this election cycle, drawing more than 2.5 million viewers despite not airing during primetime.
