Twitter Collectively Shakes Its Head Over Trump Saying He Doesn’t Want Albert Einstein as a Pilot

Spending Tuesday’s “Executive Time” glued to Fox & Friends, President Trump reacted to a report that airlines around the world are grounding the Boeing 737 Max 8 after a second crash in five months. While the Fox News story noted that the FA believes the planes are safe to fly in and American experts are taking part in the crash investigation, the president’s big takeaway here is that planes are too complex for everyday folks to operate.

“Airplanes are becoming far too complex to fly,” Trump tweeted. “Pilots are no longer needed, but rather computer scientists from MIT.”

He added: “I don’t know about you, but I don’t want Albert Einstein to be my pilot. I want great flying professionals that are allowed to easily and quickly take control of a plane!”

It didn’t take long for folks on Twitter to sigh and shake their heads over the president’s request that planes be dumbed down so any moron can fly them.
