Fox News’ Bret Baier Tears Up While Delivering Message To Viewers About Car Crash

Fox News anchor Bret Baier returned to the air a day after surviving a major car crash in Montana after he spent a weekend skiing with his wife and family. And the veteran journalist got a bit emotional at the end of his Special Report broadcast talking about the ordeal.

Following the accident yesterday, Baier sent out a tweet saying to not “take anything for granted” and to treat each day as a blessing.

“I don’t usually give advice, but I think everyone should count your blessings,” Baier said while addressing the accident. “My family is tonight.”

He went on to note that he “hit a patch of ice” while driving to the airport on Monday, causing him to slide into a busy intersection and slam into a pickup truck. Baier also thanked the man who pulled over to help them while giving further kudos to the emergency personnel who offered assistance.

After expressing relief over the relatively minor injuries for such a horrific crash, Baier began tearing up. He concluded the broadcast by letting the viewers know that he “had to be here today to show you I was okay” while wiping tears from his eyes.
