Tucker Carlson Rewards MyPillow Guy, Airs Fawning Interview For Anti-Abortion Film

Since saying immigration makes America “poorer and dirtier” on his program last week, Fox News host Tucker Carlson’s show has hemorrhaged sponsors amid a social media-fueled advertiser boycott campaign. As of this publication, well over 20 brands have pulled their ads from Tucker Carlson Tonight.

By Friday night, the impact of the boycott was extremely noticeable as the lack of national companies and brands resulted in only a handful of non-PSA and Fox News promo commercials being aired and the show just running four ad breaks, compared to the usual five pre-boycott. Several brands were relied on to run multiple commercials during the show.

One company that has remained loyal to Carlson has been MyPillow. On Friday, the sleep product brand aired a two-minute-long(!) commercial, just as it did the previous night. The business, run by conservative Trump-boosting CEO Mike Lindell, has pushed back against past boycotts directed towards other Fox News programs, such as The Ingraham Angle.

Friday night’s show was primarily centered on pre-taped segments as Carlson announced that this would be his last broadcast of 2018, as he would be off until January 3rd. One of the segments aired last night featured a November interview with Lindell in which Carlson praised MyPillow and allowed Lindell to shill for the anti-abortion film he funded.

“The most successful sleep product in the history of sleep,” Tucker exclaimed during the interview after introducing Lindell. “What is so interesting is you have a life outside of your successful company and beliefs that you are willing to invest in and now you have. Tell us about the project you put $1 million on.”

After Lindell described the movie and how it was going to be controversial because he had gone “all in” on his Christian and pro-life beliefs, Carlson lauded Lindell’s company and product some more while tossing his sponsor softballs.

“I probably watch more of your spots than any living human being since I work here,” Carlson noted. “I always wonder what your bed at home looks like?”

Carlson then ended the spot by calling Lindell a “fascinating, passionate guy.”

Anyway, just remember this segment the next time Tucker goes on a tangent about the pandering mainstream media.
