Tucker Carlson: Outrage Over Jamal Khashoggi’s Death Is ‘A Game’

Fox News personality Tucker Carlson believes outrage about Jamal Khashoggi’s death is a game being played by the liberal media. Speaking to an audience, Carlson spoke about the Washington Post journalist’s death and how he books guest for his show.

“The whole game is people who have no basis for moral superiority sort of impose their moral superiority on you,” Carlson said. “The outrage is so false.”

Carlson was speaking at a Politicon conference with former Democratic operative James Carville.

Carlson said that nobody knew who Khashoggi was two weeks ago, suggesting the issue has been artificially inflated by the media. However, Khashoggi was a respected journalist who was well-known for his coverage of Saudi Arabia, albeit not a TV personality.

Carlson was more concerned about the outrage: “They use that to bully you into submission,” he said. “It’s a game. Don’t play along.”

“Just stop lecturing me. You don’t care enough about Khashoggi!” Carlson mocked. He also discussed his strategy for booking guests for his popular Fox News show, which has increasingly become a pro-Donald Trump broadcast.

“It’s super hard to get people on who disagree,” Carlson said. “I think we might probably do better if we took the liberals off the show and just repeated what the audience wanted to hear. What I don’t want to do is just have dumb people on who are there for me to crush. I don’t need to win every debate. I’m on five nights a week.”
