Trump Can’t Believe He’d Be Accused Of Nepotism If Ivanka Becomes UN Ambassador

With speculation buzzing around the prospect of presidential daughter Ivanka Trump being named U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations after Nikki Haley’s surprising resignation announcement, President Donald Trump weighed in on the possibility of Ambassador Ivanka by expressing disbelief that he’d be accused of nepotism if he went that route.

“I’ve heard a lot of names,” Trump said when asked about possible replacements this afternoon. “I’ve heard — how good would Ivanka be? The people that know, it has nothing to do with nepotism.”

He added, “But i want to tell you, the people that know, know that Ivanka would be dynamite! But, you know, I would then be accused of nepotism, if you can believe it, right?”

Moving on to another reporter during the impromptu White House lawn presser, Trump went back to bragging about his daughter while complaining that he’d be charged with nepotism if he appointed his daughter to the post.

“I think Ivanka would be incredible,” the president boasted. “It doesn’t mean I would pick her because you would be accused of nepotism! Even though I’m not sure there is anybody more competent in the world. But that’s okay. But we are looking at numerous people.”

This is the current timeline we live in, folks.
