Lara Trump: Susan Collins Is The Definition Of Feminism

Susan Collins is a true feminist, according to Lara Trump. Trump, who is married to President Donald Trump’s son Eric and serves as a campaign adviser to the president, told Fox News that the Maine Republican is a feminist because she stood up to the left and voted to confirm Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court.

“If you want to see a real woman, if you want to see what real feminism is about, take a look at Susan Collins,” Trump said. “Here’s a woman who went against the mob coming after her, everyone telling her she shouldn’t do this, from the left, from the media, from Hollywood.”

“She went with her gut and her heart and she made a decision on her own despite what all these people were telling her she should do. That is what a real woman is about to me. I commend her. Kudos to her. She finally did the right thing here.

“She set herself up as the most powerful senator by making everybody wait until 3 o’clock,” Trump said. “This is a very smart woman and this is the definition of feminism in my opinion.”

Collins initially wavered on Kavanaugh before making a long speech in the Senate claiming that he had been misrepresented in his views. She also claimed that she believed Dr Christine Blasey Ford had been assaulted, but not by Kavanaugh.

Lara Trump’s praise of Susan Collins is in stark contrast to Republicans’ reactions to Alaska Senator Lisa Murkowski’s no vote. Her state party may sanction the senator for her opposition to Kavanaugh.
