Kavanaugh Accuser Julie Swetnick: He Shouldn’t Be On The Supreme Court

The third woman to accuse Brett Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct has said that he should not be appointed to the Supreme Court. Julie Swetnick told MSNBC that Kavanaugh did not deserve to be on the nation’s highest court. She is the first accuser to openly argue against his appointment,

“Brett Kavanaugh is going for a seat where he’s going to have that seat on the Supreme Court for the rest of his life,” Swetnick told MSNBC‘s John Heilemann. “If he’s going to have that seat legitimately, all of these things should be investigated.”

“From what I experienced firsthand, I don’t think he belongs on the Supreme Court. I just want the facts to come out and I want it to be just and I want the American people to have those facts and judge for themselves,” Swetnick said.

Swetnick has claimed that Kavanaugh was present at a party where she was raped and that he conspired with others to get girls drunk so that they could not refuse consent to sex. She is the third woman to accuse Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct of some kind.

A fourth accusation has been made regarding Kavanaugh’s behavior in 1998. Kavanaugh allegedly pushed himself against a woman in a sexual and aggressive way while he was drunk and in the presence of witnesses. Kavanaugh has denied the allegations.

Christine Blasey Ford, the first woman to accuse Kavanaugh, will appear before the Senate Judiciary Committee later today. Ford has issued a statement saying that the Senate must decide on Kavanaugh’s fitness for the Supreme Court. Democrats have already called on President Donald Trump to withdraw Kavanaugh’s nomination.
