Katy Tur Gets Emotional As Bill Cosby Led Out In Handcuffs: ‘Hard To Get Your Mind Around’ What He Did

With disgraced comic Bill Cosby being led out of the courtroom in handcuffs after he was sentenced to three to ten years in state prison for drugging and sexually assaulting Andrea Constand, MSNBC host Katy Tur got a bit emotional during the broadcast as she recounted the “horrible things” Cosby did to Constand.

“Here it is — Bill Cosby walking out of the courtroom in handcuffs,” Tur noted as they reported live from the scene.

“It seems that the judge did want to put him in front of cameras so that cameras could see what happens to a man when he’s been found guilty of –,” she said, pausing for a few seconds as she struggled to compose herself. “Of what he did to Andrea Constand and all the horrible things he did to her — drugging and sexually assaulting her.”

Tur continued, “Sometimes it’s hard to get your mind around some of those excruciatingly horrible allegations. Bill Cosby remanded to county jail, will serve three to ten years in prison.”

During Cosby’s sentencing today, ten women who have accused the comedian of sexually abusing them were in attendance. Besides sentencing Cosy to prison, the judge upheld a state board ruling that found Cosby was a sexually violent predator. The former TV star did not address the court prior to the judge handing down the sentence.
