Fox News’ Laura Ingraham And Gregg Jarrett Call For Rosenstein’s Firing After NYT Report

Following the New York Times’ bombshell report that Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein had offered to wire a wear to secretly record President Donald Trump in an effort to help Cabinet members invoke the 25th Amendment to oust Trump from office, Trump supporting Fox News personalities Laura Ingraham and Gregg Jarrett blasted out tweets calling for Rosenstein to be fired.

“Rod Rosenstein must be fired today,” Ingraham wrote.

“Driven by vengeance, Rosenstein sought to secretly record the President,” legal analyst Jarrett tweeted. ” He must be fired immediately! Since a clearly biased Rosenstein has been in charge of the Mueller investigation, it must be terminated. This illegitimate probe has been tainted by corruption from the start.”

Jarrett recently wrote the NYT bestseller The Russia Hoax: The Illicit Scheme to Clear Hillary Clinton and Frame Donald Trump, which the president promoted numerous times via his Twitter account. Ingraham, meanwhile, is the host of the highly-rated primetime show The Ingraham Angle, which devoted much of its time to ripping the Mueller probe and Department of Justice.

After the Times piece dropped, speculation swirled that the story was leaked to the paper by the White House or Trump associates in an effort to give the president an excuse to can the deputy AG and end the Russia investigation.

UPDATE: Oh yeah, forgot to add Jeanine Pirro, another Fox Newser who is a Trump ally who has seen her book sales soar due to the president’s promotional tweets. She also called for Rosenstein to be fired, tweeting that he should have been canned “long ago for being part of the ‘resistance’ and not providing documents to congress in order to save his corrupt pals.”
