Jerry Falwell Jr. Calls Hitler A ‘Progressive Elite’ And Compares Him To Hillary Clinton

Jerry Falwell Jr., president of Liberty University, the famous Christian college, has labelled Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler a progressive and suggested he was a liberal. In a series of tweets Thursday night, Falwell defended President Donald Trump and attacked Trump’s perceived opponents.

“I believe a political revolution is underway in our great nation,” Falwell tweeted. “Instead of conservative v liberal, the future will be progressive elites (think Woodrow Wilson, Margaret Sanger, @HillaryClinton, Hitler, Soros) v freedom loving average Americans!”

Falwell, who is the son of conservative activist, pastor and critic of LGBT right, Jerry Falwell Sr., has been a staunch Trump supporter and one of the president’s key Christian allies.

Falwell also attacked Attorney General Jeff Sessions on Twitter, suggesting he was never really a Trump supporter.

“Strangely @jeffsessions appeared unannounced at @LibertyU the night before the 2016 election on a bus tour. I told students but could get almost none of them to come hear him. Could it be our students were the first to see he was a phony pretending to be pro- @realDonaldTrump?”

Falwell tagged Hillary Clinton in his tweet comparing her to Adolf Hitler. She has not yet responded.

In earlier tweets, Falwell promoted Fox News personality Jeannine Piro’s new book and Dinesh D’Souza’s new film, which has been widely panned as right-wing propaganda and bad history.

Fallwell crammed a lot of right-wing bogeymen into his ‘progressive elites’ Tweet. Woodrow Wilson led the United States into World War I. He has been dead since 1924. Margaret Sanger was a birth control activist, who is vilified by Pro-Life campaigners, while billionaire philanthropist George Soros is the subject of many nationalist and antisemitic conspiracy theories.
