Kim Guilfoyle Reportedly Told Fox Colleagues That Jeanine Pirro Was Too Old For Television

Last week, following reports that longtime host Kimberly Guilfoyle was leaving the network after twelve years, Fox News announced that they had parted way with the conservative commentator and star of The Five. The terse statement released by Fox News was seen by many that things were tense behind the scenes, something Fox News media analyst Howard Kurtz acknowledged this past Sunday.

According to a deeply-researched exclusive by HuffPost’s Yashar Ali, Guilfoyle’s exit from her longtime network home was not voluntary and that she had been informed a while ago that her time was coming to an end following a Fox News investigation into inappropriate behavior that included sexual misconduct. Among the accusations Guilfoyle faced were abusive behavior towards hair and makeup artists, talking about sexual matters at work, and sharing pics of male genitals with fellow employees.

Ali also reported on Guilfoyle’s increasing isolation over the past year at the network. While three of her Five co-stars received their own individual programs, she was not given the same opportunity despite being seen as one of Fox’s rising stars during Roger Ailes’ tenure. Being placed in a stagnant situation apparently caused Guilfoyle to lash out at other women at the network who she thought were getting the opportunities she deserved.

One of those women she criticized was pro-Trump host and commentator Judge Jeanine Pirro. From the HuffPost piece:

Current and former Fox News employees told HuffPost that Guilfoyle openly complained about feeling slighted and criticized other women at the network. One target of her criticism was Judge Jeanine Pirro, who hosts the popular show “Justice with Judge Jeanine” on Saturdays and is close to Trump. Guilfoyle told colleagues that Pirro was too old (she is 67) and should no longer be on television, according to two sources who also said Pirro caught wind of Guilfoyle’s disparaging comments.

Even with Guilfoyle no longer at Fox News, one wonders how this will play in the MAGAsphere. Guilfoyle is not only dating Donald Trump Jr. but she has now gone to work for the Trump-allied Super PAC America First and will be campaigning for the president and GOP over the coming months.

Meanwhile, Pirro is one of the president’s fiercest defenders on TV and was the recipient of a Trump endorsement for her latest best-selling book. The former judge has also served as an informal adviser to Trump and the president has discussed top jobs in the administration with her.
