CNN: Michael Cohen Claims Donald Trump Knew In Advance About Trump Tower Meeting

CNN delivered another bombshell on Thursday night when the network reported that former Trump personal attorney Michael Cohen is claiming that then-candidate Donald Trump knew in advance about the infamous June 2016 Trump Tower meeting in which a Russian lawyer promised to deliver dirt on Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.

Sources close to Cohen also state that he is willing to make this assertion to Special Counsel Robert Mueller

This, of course, would fly in the face of what Trump, DOnald Trump Jr., and Trump’s legal team have claimed all along. After news broke last year about the meeting that Trump Jr. arranged with a Russian attorney, the president insisted that he had no knowledge about the attempt to get Russian dirt on his opponent.

“Cohen alleges as well that he was present, along with several others, when Trump was informed of the Russians’ offer,” correspondent Jim Sciutto said on Cuomo Prime Time. “He was informed by Donald Trump Jr. about that offer. By Cohen’s account, Trump approved going ahead with that meeting with the Russians.”

Rudy Giuliani, the president completely brushed off the possibility of Cohen going to Mueller about the Trump Tower meeting, telling CNN Cohen is “certainly a source that is not credible.”
