Remember When Donald Trump Bashed Obama For Apparently Bowing To The Saudi King?

Thursday brought the release of new footage from President Donald Trump’s Singapore summit with North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un. In the news/propaganda clip from the Hermit Kingdom, the president is shown shaking hands with various North Korean officials. When he comes to North Korean General No Kwang Chol, the president is greeted with a salute and he responds by saluting back.

Below is the video, via BBC Monitoring:

As you’d expect, the image of POTUS saluting an officer from a brutal dictatorship garnered quite a bit of reaction. Appearing on CNN this morning, retired Rear Admiral John Kirby called the moment” striking” and that the president played “right into the North’s propaganda” by tossing out the salute.

Of course, if you’ve been paying attention the past couple of years, you’ll know that there is Always A Tweet when it comes to Donald J. Trump. And, naturally, we find instances of Trump blasting Barack Obama for appearing to bow to the Saudi king and other world leaders.

And folks on Twitter didn’t forget Trump and other conservatives weighing in on the “controversy” over Obama’s bowing and deference.

Again, this is real life.
