Donald Trump Now Thinks Saturday Night Live Is Part Of The Conspiracy Against Him

Saturday Night Live got a lot of criticism for having Donald Trump as a guest host earlier this election season but the long-running sketch show didn’t back down and its writers haven’t pulled any punches about Trump’s campaign. First SNL veteran Darrell Hammond and lately Alec Baldwin have portrayed Trump in a mocking fashion. But it seems last night’s show was a step too far for Trump.

The Republican presidential candidate posted on Twitter criticizing the show. “Watched Saturday Night Live hit job on me. Time to retire the boring and unfunny show. Alec Baldwin portrayal stinks. Media rigging election!” Baldwin’s Trump has been widely praised for being a great impression but Trump isn’t happy.

There is some uncertainty about what pushed Trump to finally attack SNL, though. Baldwin has portrayed Trump as racist, sexist and not very bright, but that is nothing new. SNL has featured Trump impressions for years using various actors and has consistently mocked the billionaire’s quirks but this is the first time he’s criticized the show.

Although Trump specifically mentioned Baldwin on Twitter, there is speculation that a series of sketches involving Trump’s wife may have something to do with his decision. Over the last three weeks, SNL has aired brief sketches entitled ‘Melania Moments’ starring Cecily Strong. SNL portrays Melania Trump as out of touch and desperately trying to escape from Trump.

Last night, SNL aired a music video featuring the women in Trump’s life, including his daughters, criticizing their father. This ‘Melanianade’ video might have been the last straw.
