Ohio GOP Chairman’s Wife: Donald Trump’s Debate Made Our Dog Throw Up

Last night’s second presidential debate is being called the ugliest in history. Donald Trump’s attacks on Hillary Clinton, bringing up her husband’s affairs and threats to put her in jail may have put off many independent voters, especially women. In the crucial battleground state of Ohio, one woman was not impressed.

The chairman of Ohio’s Republican Party is Matt Borges who was watching the debate with his wife, Kate. Mrs Borges was not impressed with Trump’s performance. Borges told the Cincinnati Enquirer that she wasn’t a fan of Trump anyway but his response to the 2005 video cemented her dislike of him.

During the debate, the family dog threw up. “Trump was so bad, he made the dog throw up,” Borges said. Her husband is still a Trump supporter but he doesn’t believe the debate has helped Trump as much as he needs. The GOP chairman discussed Trump’s campaign, saying ““I still think it’s on life support.”

Ohio is a swing state and is considered a bellwether. Polls in the state have fluctuated but Clinton is currently ahead. It would be very difficult for Trump to win in November if he doesn’t win Ohio. Trump is struggling with white, suburban women – exactly the voters he needs to swing Ohio.

“I don’t think he respects women,” Mrs Borges said. “I don’t think he respects anybody.” If that view is shared by enough Republicans, the Trump campaign is in serious trouble.
