Keith Olbermann: What Kind Of Sick Bastard Are You, Trump?

Keith Olbermann used his new online segment for GQ magazine to criticize Donald Trump’s remarks on disarming Hillary Clinton’s bodyguards. The veteran commentator made it clear that Trump was talking about assassination and excoriated him for dog whistling about killing Clinton.

“Trump, you again dog whistled for someone to assassinate your opponent,” Olbermann said, addressing Trump in a highly rhetorical YouTube video. “There wasn’t enough praise for the omniscient, omnipotent Trumpness of your being, so you dog whistled again on Twitter. What kind of sick bastard are you, Trump?”

Olbermann called Trump’s claim that Clinton would abolish the Second Amendment an obvious lie because nobody would be able to do so, Olbermann explained that no-one listening to Trump would interpret his comments in any other way.

“Trump, what do you think those idiots out there think you meant?” Olbermann asked. “The people who heard you say ‘Take their guns away, see what happens’ will think you meant ‘Somebody should shoot her, see what she thinks of gun control then’. And they will think that, Trump, because that’s what you meant.”

Olbermann then listed the long history of presidential assassinations and potential assassinations and reminded his audience that Clinton was once forced to apologize after suggesting someone could assassinate Barack Obama. Olbermann pointed out that a former CIA director believed anyone who said what Trump said would be questioned by police.

“I know what should happen to you, Trump,” Olbermann said. “You, Trump, you should be in the back of a police wagon now, being questioned. And you know what, let’s see what happens.”
