Trump Threatens ‘Protesters’, ‘Looters’ and ‘Lowlifes’ Who Might Protest His Oklahoma Rally

President Donald Trump has issued a thinly veiled threat to anyone who may try to protest or disrupt his upcoming rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The President took to Twitter on Friday to suggest that any ‘lowlifes’ who showed up would be dealt with.

“Any protesters, anarchists, agitators, looters or lowlifes who are going to Oklahoma please understand, you will not be treated like you have been in New York, Seattle, or Minneapolis,” Trump tweeted.

“It will be a much different scene!” he said.

Trump, like many of his political and media supporters, have exaggerated the extent of looting and property damage that has occurred around the protests calling for justice for George Floyd. The President has also falsely claimed Antifa ‘provocateurs’ are involved in the protests.

The rally was due to take place in Tulsa on Friday but following criticism that the event would coincide with Juneteenth – an important date marking the end of slavery in the United States – and the sensitivity about Tulsa’s  history with African Americans, the rally was postponed.
